The Christmas Season

We had a great Christmas Season. It was a little difficult, as I was still feeling pretty sick. It is hard to get into the Christmas spirit when I'm feeling so lousy, but luckily Scott put out the decorations, made the goodies and kept the spirit of Christmas alive in our home! We spent a few days at Christmas in Colorado with Scott's family, which is always very fun. Lucy loved playing with her cousins and Scott enjoyed paint balling with his brothers...and I enjoyed many long naps. Awww, the joys of pregnancy.

Friends & Fun Stuff

Our friends, the Shirley Family, came to visit and we had a blast hanging out with them over the week!

Utah is so fickle! We have had such a mild winter. One day we are playing at the park, the next day we have a snow storm!

It was so much much fun visiting with Emie & her little family!

The one time Eli wore his brand new snow coat!

Date night!

So much to be grateful for!

I am finally starting to get caught up on here! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. I feel so blessed to have my family nearby and for my little family. My children and husband give me joy beyond belief. And, we have another little blessing coming to our family, which we are all ecstatic about! I struggled really hard with morning sickness for SO long. It was incredibly difficult. I was sick until about 19 weeks along. I took every remedy & medicine known to man, but it gave me little relief. I never would have survived without my incredible husband, friends and family.  So many wonderful people helped me through. Tons of my friends helped with my kids and truly blessed my family. The morning, ironically, was the best part of the day for me. I would get the kids up, teach preschool and make it until 2pm. Then, it was nap time (thank goodness!) and Scott would be home shortly after Eli woke up. Scott would get home from work and I would basically get in bed. Scott would feed the kids, take them on outings, put them to bed and do all the housework. Someone asked Lucy how I was doing and she said, "Mommy is sick. Daddy does all her chores". That basically sums it up! There is a silver lining though, a little baby BOY that I will hold in my arms in the spring. I would do it all over again if I had to for my little guy. We are so excited and grateful that we all made it through!

Trip to California

We were fortunate enough to be able to take a trip together as a family to Southern California last November. The main reason was to see my best friend, Stephanie, get married! I was so honored to be able to be her matron of honor. It was truly one of the most special things to be able to stand next to her during her wedding. I know Cody will be an amazing partner for her! While we were in Ca, we spent a couple days at Disneyland (thanks to my friend Seth!), which was so fun. The kids absolutely loved every minute. We stayed in a nearby hotel and enjoyed walking to the park each morning. We also got to visit with my sister, Deanne, and her kids and our good friends Becka & Brian and her family. It was a crazy and chaotic trip, but we were SO glad we got to go and we had such a fantastic time!

Lucy is such a pickle when it comes to smiling in pictures!

Love this friend of mine!

Stephanie made such a gorgeous bride!!

So grateful to be by her side on her wedding day!
