Lucy's Birthday Party

Lucy was so excited to have a party for her 3rd birthday. The days before her birthday she kept asking, "my friends come over, sing to me and bring me presents?" We had a few of Lucy's neighbor friends over and blew  up balloons and let them go crazy! Scott came up with a contraption that dropped balloons on the kids. They had a blast kicking and running through the balloons. It was hilarious to watch them. Lucy got so spoiled and she loved every minute of it!

o.m.g.... sweetest ever!

Love these ladies!

Eli turned ONE!

I can't believe my baby is one! It feels like he's all grown up already. He's a crawling machine and standing up everywhere. He can balance pretty well, but he doesn't really like to practice walking. It seems like he could probably walk, but doesn't feel like it right now. He is such a sweetheart. He loves giving snuggles and if you hold him, he'll put his head on your shoulder pretty frequently. He loves to play, giggle and laugh. He adores Lucy and she can make him laugh so hard. This kid eats everything. I have not found anything he won't eat. He sort of weened himself from nursing at 11 months and went straight to a sippy of milk. He drinks milk, but only a few sippys a day. He relies mainly on food and a lot of it! He loves oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, bread, cheese, any type of meat, cereal, noodles and the list goes on. He eats more than triple what Lucy eats! I have a feeling Eli will be finishing Lucy's food for a long time! When he got weighed for his 12 month appointment I was sure he had gained some weight, but he's still a peanut like Lucy. His stats are: weight 19.4 lbs (6%), height 29.5 in (35%) & head 18.1 in (35%). His doctor said that even though he eats a lot his DNA is taking over. We're bound to have small kids, I guess. Eli is sleeping 12 hours at night and taking two naps a day. He has become a really good sleeper, he rarely wakes up at night. He loves his binky, like a lot. He sleeps with it and has it in his mouth a lot of the day. He has the classic second child mentality, he follows Lucy around and wants to do whatever she is doing. He loves to pester her and climb all over her. We moved him out of his infant car seat to the next car seat, but he is still rear facing. He doesn't mind though because now he has cup holders and he checks them every time he gets in for food! The car isn't his favorite, but he's usually pretty good. He is such a sweetheart, but he does love to squeal. The squealing could also be considered whining, but we love him still! This boy is sweet, funny, lovable, playful and such a joy to have around. We're so grateful for this little nugget!
  Clearly, this kid is adorable!

Post-shots, saddest face I've ever seen!

Lucy is 3!

Lucy Francis turned 3! I can hardly believe it. Lucy is a fun, spunky, rebellious, sweet and charming little girl. She can be quite naughty at times, but she has such a soft and kind heart. She loves snuggling and giving smooches. She is so adventurous and head strong as can be. Around her 3rd birthday she started climbing out of her crib so she now has a 'big girl' bed. It was rough at first, but we finally got the hang of things. Lucy is still such a small eater. She'll eat anything, but in small amounts. Her current favorites are bananas. She would eat three bananas a day if we let her. I think she does some things for the shock value. She won't eat a chocolate chip cookie, but she will eat california rolls like nobody's business. Her stats are: weight- 28 lbs (24%), height- 38.5 in (83%), BMI- 1%.  She loves to read. She will sit in her bed and read books until she falls asleep. It makes me so happy that she loves reading, because I love reading so much. She talks like crazy and says the most adorable things. Tonight I was putting her to bed and she said, "I wub you so much momma. I wub you so much when you read me stories." She is potty trained, but she still struggles, which is so frustrating. The other day I noticed a wet spot on the stairs and I asked her if she had an accident, she just looked at me like I was crazy. Two hours later she says, "I sorry I pee on the stairs mommy. I didn't mean to". I guess she had a guilty conscience! She never stops moving and loves to dance, sing and jump around. She recently started really enjoying watching t.v. , which is good and bad. Her favorite shows are Word World, Kipper, Daniel Tiger, Super Why & Martha Speaks. Lucy loves all girly things: dressing up, wearing jewelry and putting on (or trying to) my make-up, although she hates when I do her hair. She also loves to run, collect rocks and get dirty. She loves aiding people with her doctor kit and doing hair with her pretend blow dryer. Lucy is constantly surprising us and we just can't get enough of this little girl!

I found her sleeping under her crib with two different slippers on.
