Lucy's 5th Birthday

Our sweet & sassy girl turned 5 years old this year. We had a family party for her on her birthday and later a friend party. She was looking forward to her princess tea party for so long. We had a bouncy house and tons of friends and gifts. She was so spoiled! I can't believe my sweet first-born is 5! How can I describe Lucy...she is so many things! She is fun, adventurous, funny, charming and sweet. She is super strong willed. When she gets her mind set on something, she makes it happen! She is the best big sister, she makes sure Eli always has what he needs. If someone gives her a treat she will immediately ask for another one for Eli. She is very good at mothering. She's been a good little mom since she was a year old. She said when she wants to grow up she wants to be a mom and a queen...lol. I told her those things go hand in hand =) Lucy is becoming a better eater, but she still prefers fruit and vegetables. She sleeps great in her new loft bed that she got for Christmas. She loves anything girly.. stuffed animals, baby dolls, barbies and anything Frozen. She loves to color, do crafts and help me in the kitchen. Lucy is so outgoing and makes friends so easily. She has a million friends and loves to be social. Her best friends are her cousin, Addy, Emmie, her two Porters and her playgroup. She is so excited to start Kindergarten in the fall. She is going to the ride the bus and I know she'll love every minute. She is such a sweet and caring person, she is also spunky and hard headed and we just love living life with her. Lucy is everything I could ever imagine and we love her unconditionally. She challenges us each day, but she makes us better parents and we couldn't imagine our life without her.

Eli's 3rd Birthday

Our baby boy turned 3 this year! It has been so surreal having a real baby since Eli still seems like a baby to us. Since both Eli & Lucy's birthdays were so soon after Ezra's birth and it was kind of a crazy time.We celebrated with our little family on each of their actual birthdays and had a birthday party for each of them a little while after. For Eli's party, we invited a few kids in the neighborhood. Eli is more shy and for that reason he hasn't had many play dates. His best friends are Lucy and his cousin Addy. His party was so funny because you forget that kids at 3 mostly just play side by side, not together. We had a bouncy house, but the weather was bad so we put it in our basement, it barely fit! It was really fun and I think Eli had a good time! He is so different than Lucy. He is more of an introvert. He loves to laugh though and is so fun. He loves sword fighting, playing with his trains and riding his bike. He loves finding garbage trucks and school buses driving on the street and will always point them out. He is still a pretty good eater and still loves treats the most. He sleeps 12 hrs at night and still takes a nap frequently in his big boy bed. He has started talking more, which is awesome. He is still hard to understand when he talks, but he's heading in the right direction. He starts preschool in the fall and will take the bus there, which is scary for Scott & I! He hasn't been separated from us too often and he is usually nervous about it. We hope that he does alright and gets acclimated really quickly. We love hearing Eli say new words and discover new things. He is our sweetheart, snuggle bug and crazy boy. We love him an insane amount and just adore the heck out of him.
