Eli is 2 Months Old

I can't believe my sweet boy is already two months old. He is such a good baby. He is on a good schedule and he is so easy going. He is finally smiling, laughing and cooing. We just can't get enough! He is 11.7 lbs (50%), 23.75 inches (79%) and his head is 15.5 in (31%). He is pretty much like Lucy, thin and tall with a small head! He is just not as petite as Lucy is. I love it because he is such a good eater/nurser and I don't have to worry that he is too skinny, like Lucy. He eats well and is gaining weight, just that makes my life a lot easier. For the first few weeks of his life, the sleeping part was really rough. Once we put him in his own room, around 4 weeks old, things got so much better. He started sleeping pretty well through the night at about 7 weeks. I put him in bed around 9pm, I do a sleep feeding before I go to bed and he sleeps until morning. Scott feeds him (pumped milk or formula) whenever he wakes up in the morning, which is so awesome for me. Scott is such a great dad and husband. It is so amazing to sleep through the night again! It is incredible how you feel after 8 full hours of sleep! He is such a happy baby. I love when he wakes up in the morning he just looks at me and smiles. I un-swaddle him and he does a big stretch, it is so cute. He brings so much happiness into our home. I'm so blessed to have this little boy. I was scared that I loved Lucy too much and didn't have enough love for this little man, but I was dead wrong. I am so in love with both of my kids and I feel like the luckiest person to have such a sweet little family.

Lucy just loves her baby brother so much. She gives him kisses and tries to comfort him when he is sad. Every morning when I get her from her crib, she asks for Eli (after Daddy, of course!). The other day she heard him crying upstairs and she said, "I'll go get him". It was so sweet. I love my two angels to the moon and back.

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July this year. I loved that it was in the middle of the week, it was awesome having Scott home. We took Lucy to the Gateway for lunch, shopping and fun at the splash pad. Later, we had a BBQ in our cove as well as fireworks. Lucy loved them! Eli was such a good baby, he slept right through them! I love outings with our little family. I'm grateful to live in this beautiful country. We have freedom and we are truly blessed for that.

So Many Friends...So Little Time

We have had so much fun this summer with our friends! Lucy wakes up everyday asking for various friends to play with. It has been hard adjusting to two kids and I have found the best way to keep my spirits up is to have activities planned for each day. I'm so grateful for our great friends and this wonderful community we are blessed to live in.

Scott's Golden Birthday

Scott turned 30 years old on the 30th of June. Since this was such a special birthday I wanted to have lots of surprises for him and do things I know he likes. Since he was turning 30 on the 30th I wanted to give him 3 days of surprises. The day before his birthday I got him a breakfast treat and snacks to take to work. Then, me and the kids took him out to lunch and gave him his '30 sucks' treat to put on his desk at work. That night, I made him a Cafe Rio dinner and we went for a walk. After the kids went to bed, Scott and I went to Boondocks for a date night and rode the go-carts and played laser tag. The next day was his birthday so we woke up, had crepes and I let him open his presents. We then packed up the car and set off for his big surprise. I told him to get on the freeway and drive north. We drove for about an hour and when we got off the freeway he was still clueless about where we were going. Scott has always wanted to go sky diving, but I have never let him because I'm paranoid about safety. I took him to an indoor skydiving arena. He absolutely loved it! He said it was his new favorite thing to do, which is saying a lot for him! I was so happy that I could finally give him a good surprise. That night, Scott took Lucy on a daddy daughter date to a church activity. On Sunday, I made him a yummy pork chop dinner and we had a relaxing day. Scott is so good at surprising me and making me feel special on my birthday so hopefully he felt that way for his this year. He is always honest and has integrity 19. He loves my cooking & eats all of the left overs 20. He would sacrifice anything to make me and our kids happy 21. He has a very scientific mind, I think he has the all the answers! 22. He always finds new games to play with Lucy, he is so creative 23. He puts Lucy to bed every night 24. He is really smart 25. He is a truly incredible father and husband and we're so lucky to have him!
