Ringing in the New Year

We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends in our life. We spent New Years Eve playing bingo with our friends, super wild I know! But, we loved it.A few weeks later we had a visit from some friends that we love dearly! Becka & Brian brought their two adorable kiddos to stay with us and we absolutely loved having them around. And luckily, Kendra & Caleb live nearby and we got to see them too. Kendra, Becka & I had so much fun reminiscing, we've known each other for ten years and have such fun memories together. It would have been perfect if Katie could have been with us too, but she was with us in our hearts. Love those gals so much!

Christmas

The month of December was super fun for us. We got to spend time with lots of friends & family. We also had Uncle Russ living with us for a little bit & the kids loved having him here. They kind of smothered him! We loved all of the Christmas festivities....making cookies & cupcakes, riding the train at the mall, going to parties and dinners. We also got to teach our kids about the birth of our Savior and hopefully some of it stuck with them. Lucy understood the concept of Christmas and loved opening gifts, Eli not so much. On Christmas Day, Eli got mad because we wouldn't let him eat all of his reese's pieces candy cane so he threw a big fit. We tried to get him to open gifts, but he wasn't interested. We gave him the candy cane back & all he wanted to do was sit in his new ride in car and eat it. There's always next year! Lucy got a new bike, which she has yet to ride because of the weather. She would tell everyone who asked that she wanted a bike and new baby doll for Christmas. Eli got a ride in car & they both got a wagon. We feel very blessed that we were able to spend Christmas with the people we love!

Scott gave me a very thoughtful gift. It has been hard for me having closure after my miscarriage. I felt like it was a boy, so we named him Noah. Scott made this ornament for me and I loved it so much.
So blessed
