Since I graduated I have been torn on whether or not to get a job.I knew that if I got a job it had to be just right for my situation. I LOVE being a Mom and staying home with Lucy, but I wanted to give working a chance. When I graduated I knew if I did work, I wanted to work for a non-profit. I really wanted the opportunity to serve my community and to help people. I literally applied for so many non-profit jobs, even low paying ones. As soon as I gave up, I got a call. I had one interview and I was hired! I am now the Utah County Supervisor for a non-profit that assists disabled individuals in finding a job....which is ironic because it took me so long to find one! I started about three weeks and I'm loving it. I love this organization and how it is helping people. My co-workers have such amazing backgrounds and I've already learned so much. It's not a super glamorous job, but it feels good to get in there and do a job that some people might not want to do. It is hard to be away from Lucy, but I make my own schedule and can work from home some of the time. I'm so blessed to have my Mom and sister nearby who help me out a lot. I also have a wonderful neighbor who does daycare and watches Lucy most mornings. I am also grateful that Scott has been so supportive. I think it took him a while to get used to the idea but he does everything he can to help so I think it is going to work out just fine!
I definitely miss this sweet girl when I'm at work (Thanks to Katie at Emma Wade Photography for these pics....more to come)
We just love our Thx Pt passes! We have had so much fun with our friends & family there lately. It was definitely worth the money, we have a blast every time we go. We never get sick of feeding the animals and riding on the carriage!
A couple weeks ago, Lucy & I took a 10 day trip home. We saw so many people and did so many fun things. Scott missed us so much, it was hard without him with us. I know that he was missing us too! Our first reason for going home was to see my BFF for 13 years graduate from College. We started College together 10 years ago and we finally finished together! I was so glad we could be there to support her and she looked gorgeous! I'm so proud of her! Of course we saw my sister, Deanne, and my niece and nephew, Baylee & Braydon. They have just grown up so fast and I love them to pieces. My sweet sister cooked us a wonderful dinner and baked Lucy a birthday cake! We also got the chance to see my brother-in-law Steve, his wife Leslie and their daughter Haley. It was so much fun catching up with them, we're sad we don't get to see them more! We also got to see Brian, Becka & baby Wesley. Wes & Lucy are about 10 weeks apart. You can tell Lucy missed her Daddy because she was giving Brian some good love. We just love these guys! Our last stop was my Aunt Carole's wedding. She married a wonderful man named Cliff and we just had a blast at the festivities. It was so fun to see my family and spend time with them. href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNBy4vNs2QjNj9OWZFlWAfl4e4Mkug39B2fsyEoY8kd2jaY7V2yq23_VzvUgc_CJaOuLEKnqqWsYiZf81x9ps1XYJWWJLmxnEaPfOCIhlrWesScjRLLSvHcIQGNPeZ8VjGSUe7tEWzGaIP/s1600/DSC05796.JPG">
