My babies started school

Lucy started kindergarten this year & Eli started preschool. Lucy has an awesome teacher and her cousin, Addy, is also in her class. Lucy loves riding the bus and didn't take a second look back at me when she got on for the first time. She is so social and already has tons of friends. She struggled a little at first because she is so stubborn. I think her and her teacher had a power struggle in the beginning. She also had trouble getting used to doing homework. But, she has gotten better and seems to be thriving. She does an early morning kindergarten class and gets on the bus pretty early, earlier than I like to wake up! Lucy always pops right up and has the best attitude. We lay out her clothes and set her alarm and she gets up by herself and gets ready. I can tell she really likes being organized. She has so much energy and always has a positive attitude. I love my girl so much!

Eli has been so excited to start preschool. He has been working with a speech therapist since he turned 2. He was a late talker and had trouble with articulation. He has also struggled with social settings & communicating with people, outside of our family. Because of this, he qualified for preschool at a nearby Elementary School, although not the one Lucy attends. He goes two days a week. He even gets to ride the bus! Obviously the thought of putting our 3 year old on a bus is totally terrifying, but we thought we would give it a shot. The bus comes right to our house and there is an aide along with the bus driver on the bus. The first day of school, I put Eli on the bus and followed it to the school. I stayed out of his line of sight. I watched him get off the bus to his waiting teaching and her walk the students in. He wasn't crying and did just fine, and in fact, he loved it! He has a teacher and two aides and they're awesome. There is only 8 kids in his class so that is pretty darn good. He loves going to preschool and looks forward to riding the bus. His teacher says she can tell he loves coming to preschool and he is the best at cleaning up. He also decided to be potty trained soon after school started. On the days he goes to preschool he gets himself dressed and is anxious to get on the bus. He is such a sweet guy and he is improving in so many areas since he started preschool. Eli is my sweetheart and melts my heart everyday.

Eli was so sad when Lucy got on the bus and it wasn't time for him to go to school yet.

Ezra at 4 months

3 months old
Baby Ezzy is such a sweetheart. He loves to smile and laugh. We used to call Eli 'Mr Giggles' and Ezra is our new 'Mr Giggles'. He recently stopped sleeping through the night. It kind of corresponded with him getting out of his swaddle. We've always sleep trained our kids, but he is not having it. We feed him twice a night, but it's not too bad. I do one feeding before bed and Scott does a feeding before he leaves for work. We got a system down! He is a fairly easy baby and he loves to be held. He is not rolling over yet and doesn't seem that interested. Ezra weighs 13.5 lbs (20%) and is 25 inches long (51%). His hair has started thinning and his eczema is still pretty bad, he's like a little old man! We are still so in love with our little man and can't imagine our lives without him!
