Lucy is 7 Months Old!

Lucy has changed so much this month. She is rolling & scooting all over the place. She gets into a push-up position and doesn't know where to go so she scoots backwards. She has become less of an independent player & loves to play with Mommy and Daddy. She is obsessed with drinking from her sippy cup or any cup for that matter. Prior to 1 week ago I was having the hardest time getting her to eat any type of baby food. Then, Marye suggested pears & she loved it!! I moved onto pears with pineapple, oatmeal and I'm going to try squash next. It has been so fun to see all the changes in her and we can't wait to see what comes next!

THANKS to KATIE for taking these wonderful pictures!!

Holiday Cheer

I LOVE the Holidays! I have been a little stressed this season with finals, Lucy, buying gifts etc. I haven't been able to enjoy the Holidays as much as usual. But, my Christmas spirit has been boosted by all the wonderful family and friends in my life. Here are just a few of them:

Where do they come up with this stuff?

We were able to attend Caleb's (our nephew) pre-school Christmas concert. It was so fun. I loved watching him sing & get so excited, I can't wait until Lucy can sing. One song they sang was funny or silly or insulting to fat people?
Not sure..you decide. Sang to the tune of jingle bells...

I heard a reindeer hoof, then Santa dressed in red,
Came crashing thro' the roof and landed on my bed.
I thought it was a dream, but quickly did I wake,
As soon as I heard Santa scream, "I want a piece of cake!"

[Chorus]
Oh, Santa Claus, Santa Claus, you are much too fat;
I was sleeping peacefully but not my bed is flat. Oh!
Santa Claus, Santa Claus, how much do you weigh?
I'm glad I'm not a reindeer that has to pull your sleigh!

Our Thanksgiving Holiday

We just returned from visiting my family in California and needless to say, I miss them already! We had a great time & we are so truly BLESSED to have such an AMAZING family.

Lucy started off the vacation with a cold so we were worried that she might be a crab but she did very well on the plane. When we landed the people around us kept saying how she was the quietest and most well behaved baby...well I have to brag a little!

When the plane took off she fell asleep and stayed asleep until we landed.

Jess, Lei & Mom made up a fantastic room for us to stay in with gifts included! Thank you Mom & Jess for the adorable pillow & Lei for the cute boots!

We spent Thanksgiving at Grandpa Robert and Bestamores with about 60 people, the biggest Thanksgiving ever! It was so fun to be around all of my family but we were missing a few special people(Scott & Meagan, Deanne & kids and Jimmy...love you guys)

Love my cousins!

My wonderful Mom & I

Lucy looking so fancy!

We've just started giving Lucy solid foods, she hasn't particularly enjoyed anything but she liked the mashed potatoes!

Lucy tuckered out from all the excitement

We loved relaxing at home with the fam in front of the fire. I have never seen a cuter bear in my life!

We were able to attend my cousins 'Wedding Feast' while in California. Congratulations David & Erin!

Addy sure loves her Papa

Jess & Addy- love these girls

I love this picture! My two favorite people!

Me and my girl

our little family

Sisters- love you forever Jess!

Cousins!!

It took Addy a while to let Scott hold her but once she did she wanted him to hold both her and Lucy.

Addy walking! When we got there she was walking pretty good but she got better while we were there. It was so awesome to witness!

Daddy and his girls (missing Deanne)

Lucy adores her Daddy and loves to snuggle him!

Lucy was very suspicious of her Papa at first but I think she warmed up to him!

The plane ride home Lucy was, shall I say, 'less' well behaved..lol. I think it was payback for everytime I have been on a plane with a crying baby and thought a rude comment. We were totally those parents who are trying desperately to shush their baby while other passengers stare.
